BUDGET 2026-27

This budget gives priority to the basic needs of the people and comprehensive development. Our goal is transparent and accountable governance.

🌾🌱 In this budget, significant importance has been given to the agricultural sector. Funds have been allocated for schemes such as seed and fertilizer subsidies, organic manure for coconut cultivation, support for banana cultivation, arecanut cultivation development, intercrop kit distribution, and distribution of potted vegetable seedlings with potting mix for people with limited land space to encourage terrace and courtyard farming.

🐄🐐 In the animal husbandry sector, ₹21,42,000 has been allocated for distributing milch cows and cattle feed to achieve the goal of becoming a “Dairy Village.” Funds have also been allocated for women’s poultry farming schemes, purchasing medicines for veterinary hospitals, and anti-rabies vaccination for stray dogs.

🏠🏘️ In the housing sector, ₹2,05,00,000 has been allocated for financial assistance for land purchase and house construction, as well as making houses habitable. Additionally, ₹28,50,000 has been allocated for the “Easy Kitchen” project, under which ₹75,000 each will be provided to families headed by women for kitchen renovation.

💡 Necessary funds have also been allocated for road renovation, tarring, drainage systems, safety facilities, installation and maintenance of streetlights.

🧹 Sanitation and waste management – The aim is to create a clean village by expanding household biobin units for waste segregation and treatment at source, along with strengthening Haritha Karma Sena activities. To promote awareness about cleanliness among the younger generation, ₹75,000 has been allocated for the “Student Haritha Sena Scholarship – Eco Sense” scheme, under which 50 students selected from schools in the panchayat for outstanding work in sanitation and waste management will receive ₹1,500 each.

💧 Funds required for the completion of drinking water projects have been allocated, along with ₹10,00,000 for supplying drinking water to areas severely affected by water scarcity.

In the healthcare sector, necessary funds have been allocated for communicable disease control, palliative care, medicine purchase, implementation of health projects, and installation of solar panels at the Family Health Centre, including ₹10,00,000 for the solar project.

In the education sector, projects will be implemented for school infrastructure development, digital learning facilities, student learning support schemes, and library development. Schemes include laptop distribution for Scheduled Caste students, establishment of a smart classroom and science lab at Varadiyam Government U.P. School, purchase of play equipment for children’s parks, and distribution of science magazines to classrooms.

To preserve and promote arts and culture, funds have been allocated for sports kit distribution to registered youth clubs, musical instruments for Scheduled Caste youth groups, Kerala Utsavam programs, welfare schemes for senior citizens, and scholarships for differently-abled persons.
